Trinity MMA athlete Alec Burns will be facing a gauntlet of South Australia’s best BJJ blue belt talent at the upcoming M16 Open Collision tournament.
Alec will be competing at the M16 Open Round 11 event in the under 80kg blue belt tournament.

Alec Burns has been training with Trinity MMA since 2019. He takes every opportunity to compete at BJJ events to challenge his determination and skills against South Australia’s brimming martial arts talent pool.
Alec competed at the last M16 Open event, the M16 Open X, in January 2023. He faced Connor Kearney from Armour BJJ in a tough match that he won.
The M16 Open is Adelaide’s only locally owned no gi BJJ competition for those seeking to compete under the Abu Dhabi Combat Club, aka ADCC, rule set.
The Trinity MMA team will be attending the M16 Open Collision event to support Alec and the growth of the local BJJ scene.
M16 Open Collision – Round 11 Event Details
The event is taking place at the Noarlunga Recreation Centre, on June 18th, 2023.
Doors open at 10am, with the first match expected to start at 11am.
